Xbox Announces October 16th Release for New Handheld, the Xbox Ally

Xbox Ally
Microsoft today confirmed the launch date for its much-anticipated entry into the handheld gaming market, the Xbox Ally. The new portable device is set to be released worldwide on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
The Xbox Ally is designed to deliver the power and library of the Xbox ecosystem in a portable form factor, allowing players to enjoy their favorite games and Xbox Game Pass titles on the go. The device aims to provide a seamless, high-quality gaming experience without being tethered to a console or television.
“Our goal has always been to empower people to play the games they want, with the people they want, anywhere they want,” said a spokesperson for Xbox. “The Xbox Ally is the next logical step in that journey, and we’re thrilled for the community to experience it this fall.”
While the release date is now confirmed, Xbox has stated that pricing and pre-order details have not yet been revealed. More information regarding the device’s specifications, features, and price points will be shared in the weeks leading up to the October launch.
